Here's how to get your new iPhone up and running.
Install the SIM card:
- Insert the end of a paper clip or SIM eject tool into the hole on the SIM card tray. Push firmly, straight in until the tray pops out.
- Pull out the SIM card tray and place the SIM card in the tray as shown.
- With the tray aligned and the SIM card on top as shown, carefully replace the tray.
Register your phone with iTunes
You'll need iTunes to make your iPhone work and download apps, so if you don't have it, you'll need to download it to your PC or Mac. You can download iTunes here.
Once you've installed iTunes on your computer, connect your iPhone to your computer using the cable that came in the box. Then just follow the instructions on screen. This will allow you to sync your iPhone with your iTunes library and register your iPhone with Apple.
Install settings for your phone
Once you've synchronised your music, videos, pictures and so on you will be prompted to install the carrier settings for your phone. Click on “Update settings” to ensure your phone has the correct settings for the T-Mobile network. The carrier update contains internet and picture message settings that are essential for your phone to work properly
Making your first call
Touch the green phone icon on your home screen. The buttons at the bottom of your iPhone screen give you quick access to your favourites, recent calls, your contacts, and a numeric keypad for dialling manually.
Listening to music
Touch the iPod icon on your home screen. You'll then get icons at the bottom of the screen for songs, albums, etc. Choose one of these, then touch the name of the song to start playing the tune.
