In the settings on your Facebook account page, just put your mobile number in the 'mobile' section and choose the updates you want.

You can reply to new messages and pokes using your phone at the cost of a normal text. To reply to any of the others you'll need to click on the links within the text message to go straight to your Facebook page on your phone.

 The legal stuff

Any T-Mobile customer can get their social networking updates by text message. You’ll need to join Facebook, accept their legal terms and then set up text message updates by with them.

Updates sent to your T-Mobile phone are free but we do have an excessive use policy. If you receive so many updates that we consider them to be excessive, we’ll ask you to reduce the number of updates you receive. If you don’t do that, we reserve the right to limit the number of updates you can receive or to remove you from the service.
